Career Orientation Seminar for Nursing Students
Dr. Anacleto B. Millendez, founder of the Beautiful Heart Foundation (BHF), conducted a free career orientation seminar for the 3rd year nursing students of John Paul II College of Nursing in Ecoland, Davao City last January 21, 2006. The students actively participated in the discussions and provided insight as to the motivations of students who aspire to be nurses abroad. They also learned about the different tests like TOEFL, IELTS and NCLEX and how they apply in the different states of the US . Working in the United States is no longer a mystery to these students. These seminars are designed to educate graduating nursing students about the requirements for working in the US and what to expect once they are there.
